Home insurance claims: how to claim

If you need to talk to us about a claim, new or existing, then please call your underwriter. They will handle your claim and get things sorted quickly and fairly.

What can you expect?

At Tesco Bank Home Insurance, we know how stressful it can be when you need to make a claim. However, the sooner you report it, the sooner we can help you.

Once you have called we will register your claim, confirm what you are covered for and give you a claim number to quote. We will talk you through the next steps, confirm what excesses will apply (this is the amount you pay towards any claim) and, subject to the terms of the policy, we will either:

  • Arrange for repairs to be carried out;
  • Arrange to replace any lost, damaged and stolen items directly to you; or
  • Pay you the cash value of the lost, damaged or stolen item
