What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is a secure and easy way to pay using your Tesco Bank Debit Card, Tesco Bank Credit Card or Clubcard Pay+ Debit Card. It makes mobile payments quick and easy.

      Getting started

      Can I use Apple Pay?

      To use Apple Pay you will need a Tesco Bank Visa Debit Card, Credit Card featuring the Mastercard logo, or Clubcard Pay+ Visa Debit Card.

      You will also need an iPhone SE, 6 or later, Apple Watch or iPad with Touch ID. Make sure your device is running the most up-to-date iOS by checking 'Software update' - you'll find this under 'General' in 'Settings'.

        How to set up Apple Pay

        To add your Tesco Bank Debit Card, Credit Card featuring the Mastercard Logo, or Clubcard Pay+ Visa Debit Card to your iPhone, open the Wallet app and follow the instructions. You'll then receive a one-time passcode from Tesco Bank. You’ll need to use this code within 30 minutes if you have a debit card or 3 hours if you have a credit card. Once you enter the passcode, you're ready to shop.

          Where can I use Apple Pay?​

          Apple Pay is accepted in many places that support contactless payments.

              What about Tesco Clubcard points?

              You’ll collect your additional points as normal while you’re out shopping.

              If you're using Apple Pay in a Tesco store that supports contactless payments, swipe your Clubcard before you pay to collect your standard points. Terms apply

                Safe and secure

                How safe is Apple Pay?

                Your Tesco Bank Debit, Credit Card or Clubcard Pay+ number is secure as it is encrypted and stored safely in a dedicated chip in your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. The card numbers are not held on your phone, and the Apple servers don’t save them either.

                  What happens if my phone or device is lost or stolen?​

                  If your iPhone or iPad is ever lost or stolen, you can use Find My iPhone to put your device in Lost Mode to suspend Apple Pay, or you can remove Apple Pay from your device completely. Whatever you decide to do, you’ll still be able to use your Tesco Bank Debit Card, Credit Card or Clubcard Pay+ Debit Card as normal while shopping.

                    What happens if my Tesco Bank Debit Card is lost or stolen?​

                    Call us straight away on 0345 835 3353* (or minicom 0345 366 6471*) to report your current account debit card lost or stolen.

                      What happens if my Clubcard Pay+ debit card is lost or stolen?

                      For Clubcard Pay+, call us straight away on 0345 835 6295* (or Minicom 0345 366 6471* ) to report your Clubcard Pay+ Debit Card lost or stolen.

                        What happens if my Tesco Bank Credit Card is lost or stolen?​

                        You're protected if your card is lost, stolen or charged incorrectly - just contact us straight away on 0345 366 6643*, Textphone 01423 532 152 or +44 1268 508 027 if you are out of the country.
