The concept is simple. We install a black box in your car to see how you drive. Drive safely and we’ll reward you with monthly bonus miles. Your price at renewal may increase or decrease depending on a number of factors, including your driving.

You can choose to take out a 6,000, 8,000, or 10,000 mile policy depending on how much driving you do.
If you've opted for 6,000 miles, but realise after a few months that it's not enough, don't panic. Just buy more miles online or on the phone.
When you take out this Box Insurance policy you'll get access to your own online portal so you can log in and check how you're doing. You'll be able to check lots of things on your portal like how many miles you've used and you can buy Top-Up miles here if you need to. If you continue to drive around without paying for more miles, we'll have to cancel your policy. And we really don't like doing that.
You can earn up to 100 Bonus Miles every month. The safer we think you are on the roads, the more Bonus Miles we'll reward you with, up to a maximum of 100 miles every month. You can see how many Bonus Miles you have earned online in your portal.
As a safety feature, the box can sense any strong impact on the car and tell us about it. We will try and check you're OK and will try to contact the emergency services on your behalf if appropriate to do so in the circumstances.
Another benefit of the box is that it works as a theft tracking device, so we can help to assist the Police in finding your car if it's stolen.

A chipped windscreen doesn't have to spoil your day. We'll pay for the cost of repairing or replacing your broken or chipped windscreen or windows. We'll also pay for any scratching to the paintwork that might have been caused by broken glass from the windscreen or windows. There is an excess for repair/replacement.
You get up to £100,000 Motor Legal Protection. This provides you with cover for legal costs and expenses if you ever need to claim compensation for personal injury against the person responsible for the accident, where you are more likely than not to have a successful outcome. There are three levels of cover, making it easy to find the one that's right for you.

What would you do if your car key was lost or stolen? With Key Cover, our 24-hour helpline will come to your rescue when your keys are lost, stolen or locked inside your car. By attaching your exclusive Tesco Bank key fob you increase the chance of your lost keys being returned to you. After 14 days, cover is provided for all insured keys (including your house and business keys) and we'll organise replacement keys and locks up to £1,500 per policy.

To qualify for a courtesy car, your car must be repaired by an approved repairer. A courtesy car is not available if your car has been written off or has been stolen and is still missing. Provision of a courtesy car is subject to availability.
If you have key cover elsewhere, the policy benefits may overlap. Please check how this may affect you.

Your data will be collected when you browse our website (e.g. your IP address), request a quotation, partially complete a quotation, do not purchase or provide data indirectly via price comparison sites. Quote data will be kept for up to 15 months and this information may be used if you apply for a product again in the future.

Data may be obtained from and shared with the wider Tesco Group, credit reference agencies (CRAs) and fraud prevention agencies (FPAs). The FPAs will potentially use it to prevent fraud and money-laundering, verify your identity and establish your right to UK Residency. Depending on the outcome, this could result in the refusal of certain services, finance or employment. We will supply your personal information to CRAs and they will give us information about you on an ongoing basis.
