Finding out how likely you are to be accepted for a credit card takes just a few minutes and won't affect your credit score, so let's get started.
To use the eligibility checker, you'll need to have a few bits of information handy:
No, we’ll do a soft check that doesn’t affect your credit score.
A soft check lets us see which Tesco Bank Credit Cards you’re likely to be accepted for before you apply, other lenders can’t see this.
The ‘percentage approval chance’ helps you see which of our credit cards you have the best chance of being accepted for.
The higher the percentage, the more likely you’ll be accepted. If you see a low percentage, we probably won’t be able to offer you that card just now.
If you do apply, we’ll do a full credit search, which will show on your credit file, and a search of fraud prevention databases. There might still be a chance that we can’t offer you a credit card after we’ve done these checks.
There are several factors that could result in you not being eligible for a Credit Card. In some cases, it could be as simple as the information on the form not being filled out correctly. Other reasons might be that haven’t held your current job for long enough, or there isn’t enough information on your credit history. Your Credit History is built up from past borrowing, such as other credit cards, mortgages, mobile phone contracts, and so on. If you haven’t had a credit card before, your credit history might be limited, in which case you may need to build your credit profile.

We use representative rates when checking your eligibility for a Tesco Bank Credit Card or Loan. This means that the rates shown are only a guide, so you can easily compare products. When you apply, we may offer you a higher rate depending on your circumstances.
