Find out how to apply for a loan online

To begin, select apply online from the Loans section of our website.

Read about how we'll use your information and select the I agree button on the left if you're happy to continue.

If you're returning to an application you've saved earlier, select the Complete your saved application link.

Existing customers

We'll ask you if you already have a Tesco loan, as we can't offer more than one loan per customer.

But you may be able to apply for a new loan to cover your existing loan and an additional amount.

About you

Enter your personal details in the space available and select Next.

Continue entering your details, completing all fields marked with an asterisk.

The address finder will help ensure your details are accurate. If you don't see your address, select Enter my own address and enter the details in full.

About your loan application

We'll ask you to tell us about the loan you're applying for.

The progress bar in the middle of the screen provides a view of your progress in the application process.

If you want to save your application and return to it later, take a note of the Application ID above the progress bar and select the Save button on the left of the screen.

To continue, select the Next button.

Your repayments

Before you submit all your details we'll show you an example of what your repayments could be.

We'll calculate your personal APR, based on your personal circumstances and financial history at the end of the application. This could be higher or lower than the example shown here.

Your personal circumstances

Enter your employment and income details in the spaces provided.

We'll ask for details of your outgoings and all of your credit cards and loans.

Select the Add button after completing each card or loan.

Once you've finished entering all the information, select the Next button on the bottom right of the screen.

Enter the details of the account you would want your loan paid into.

If your loan application is successful, we'll automatically set up your Direct Debit to this account, but you can check a box at the bottom of the screen to ask for a paper mandate.

Submitting your application

We'll ask you to confirm you're happy that we'll pass on your details to credit reference agencies.

Select the Next button on the right of the screen if you're happy to continue or the Cancel button on the left if you do not wish to continue.

Your application outcome

We may ask for more information before a final offer can be confirmed.

We'll show you details of your loan application decision with your personal APR.

Application complete

We'll confirm the loan we can offer you and detail any additional information may you need to send us to complete the application.
