Guaranteed Clubcard discount

Clubcard customers qualify for a guaranteed discount on Tesco Bank Car Insurance, the discount does not apply to insurance add-on products.

In fact, 30% of new customers with a Clubcard paid £272 or less, for Standard, comprehensive cover.

That's based on new policies sold direct that were accepted between 2 December 2013 and 4 March 2014. The premium you pay will depend on your circumstances and the cover you choose.

Tesco Car Insurance is arranged and administered by Tesco Bank and is underwritten by a select range of insurers.

Pay for your premium with Clubcard vouchers

Use your Clubcard vouchers to help pay for your Tesco Car Insurance.

Here's how:

  1. When getting an online quote, select to pay with Clubcard vouchers - for phone quotes you'll have the same option when payment is taken.
  2. Payment for the policy will be taken from your chosen account.
  3. After the 14 day cooling off period, you'll receive a form to return with your Clubcard vouchers - any voucher(s) value can be redeemed up to the policy premium.

Full Terms and Conditions

  • The maximum amount of Clubcard vouchers you redeem cannot exceed the premium stated on your redemption form.
  • The vouchers must be valid, in date and not damaged, defaced, copied or altered.
  • The Clubcard holder must live at the same address as the policyholder.
  • Tesco Bank accepts no responsibility for Clubcard vouchers that are not received.
  • Any change from your Clubcard vouchers will be credited to your Clubcard account and be advised to you in your next Clubcard statement.
  • Every £1 voucher will be redeemed as £1 of payment for your insurance premium.

5,000 Clubcard Points Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

  • The free prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over, except for anyone directly connected with the planning or administration of the free prize draw.
  • All customers who complete a Tesco Bank Car Insurance quote and enter their Clubcard number on tescobank.com are automatically entered into the daily draw.
  • Only one winner per Clubcard. Customers will only be entered into one draw for the day they quoted and only 1 quote per customer will count. The entry instructions form part of the rules. By entering, you agree to accept and be bound by the rules.
  • One winner will be drawn from all customers who completed a Tesco Bank Car Insurance quote online and entered their Clubcard number and email address between 00:00 and 23:59 each day from 11 November 2013 to 15 April 2014 inclusive. At the end of each week, one winner will be randomly drawn from each day's qualifying quote data. There are no runners-up prizes.
  • The daily prize is 5,000 Tesco Clubcard points. No cash alternative will be offered. The daily winners will be notified by email (using the email address entered when quote was completed) within 14 days of the draw. Winners' names will be available after that date by sending a SAE to the free prize draw address.
  • The Clubcard must be in your name and the points will be added to a future Clubcard statement. The Clubcard Scheme is administered by Tesco Stores who are responsible for fulfilling points.
