The scheme is a training course designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and insurers, aimed at young, inexperienced drivers. The course teaches you to anticipate, plan for and deal with hazards on different road conditions.
Tesco Car Insurance rewards drivers who have completed the advanced driving course with reduced premiums.
How much you save will depend on your age, type of car you drive and your claim history.

Along with reduced car insurance premiums, Pass Plus can lower car maintenance costs because it can teach you how to use your brakes, clutch and gearboxes more efficiently. It aims to make you better at assessing road conditions and be more aware of the speed you should be driving at, in any given situation.
The Pass Plus course takes at least six hours to complete and includes urban, all-weather, rural, night and motorway driving.
Courses can only be taught by an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and take place across the country.
