Winter Sports Travel Insurance
If you love taking to the slopes or trying out new activities on your holiday, our winter sports add-on is available at an additional cost with your travel insurance.
From snowboarding and skiing to glacier walking or husky dog sledding, there are some magical winter sports experiences to discover. Winter sports holidays can come with a higher risk of needing to make a travel insurance claim, and it’s important not to assume that your standard policy covers all incidents.
Tesco Bank Travel Insurance offers an optional winter sports add-on at an additional cost to your travel insurance policy. This includes:
- Cover for the accidental loss of, theft of or damage to your own ski equipment
- Medical cover for taking part in winter sports, including cost of treatment or repatriation
- Help with the cost of hiring replacement ski equipment if your ski equipment is lost, stolen or damaged
- Compensation if a lack of snow or an avalanche results in the skiing facilities at your resort being closed. Conditions apply
- Reasonable additional accommodation (room only) and transport if you are delayed by 24 hours or more by an avalanche or landslide

Medical cover for your sports or ski holiday
When you choose Tesco Bank Travel Insurance for your snowboarding or ski trip, you’re covered for medical emergencies too. Plus, depending on your level of cover, you’ll have access to a 24/7 helpline where you’ll be able to speak with an English-speaking doctor virtually or by telephone.

How we collect and use your personal data
Tesco Personal Finance PLC (trading as Tesco Bank) acts as an intermediary for this policy and partner with Rock Insurance Services Limited (ROCK) to arrange and administer Tesco Travel Insurance. ROCK partner with:
- AWP P&C S.A (AWP P&C) to underwrite Tesco Bank Travel Insurance policies purchased on or after 4 September 2024
- Inter Partner Assistance S.A. (IPA) to underwrite Tesco Bank Travel Insurance policies purchased prior to 4 September 2024
- AmTrust Europe Limited (AmTrust) to underwrite Tesco Bank Travel Insurance Gadget Cover
Tesco Bank will receive data from ROCK. ROCK will process and share data with AWP P&C, IPA & AmTrust Europe Limited (where applicable) to underwrite your policy and process claims. You can find out more about how these firms process and share your data via:
