What is double excess?
What is a double excess?
When you purchase a Tesco Bank Standard or Finest Travel Insurance policy, you can opt to double the normal excess (£60 on Standard and £45 on Finest) in return for a reduced premium.
If you select this option, your excess for Standard cover will be £120 and your excess for Finest cover will be £90.
This option is not available for Tesco Bank Everyday Value Travel Insurance policies.
The excess is the amount of money you pay on each claim you make under certain sections of the insurance policy before Tesco Bank Travel Insurance pays out. You should refer to the policy booklet for full details of what excess you need to pay under each section.
