Optional Extra - Extend your cover

To complement your policy you can choose to extend the cover available as standard. This will incur an increase in premium.

Buildings and Contents Accidental Damage cover includes:

• DIY Mishaps
• Day to day incidents such as paint or wine spillages
• Cover for home entertainment equipment

Personal Possession cover includes:

• Protect your personal possessions, such as mp3 players, cameras, mobile phones, and jewellery, anywhere in the British Isles with this optional cover.
• Up to £350 of money can also be covered, and up to £400 of cover for unauthorised use of your credit, debit, or cheque card.

Tesco Legal Guard

Tesco Legal Guard provides cover of up to £100,000 for legal fees and costs, to help you or a member of your family who normally lives with you to claim compensation or to defend your or their legal rights.

Tesco Legal Guard can assist if you or your family need to:

• Claim compensation for personal injury following an accident where someone else is to blame or;
• Pursue or defend your legal rights for certain disputes relating to:
  
  
  • Employment
  • Your home and possessions
  • Certain types of consumer contract, such as buying and selling goods or services (except for disputes relating to most financial services products)
  • Defence of work related prosecutions and motoring prosecutions (except parking offences or driving without a licence or insurance)

Tesco Legal Guard will choose the advisor to act on your behalf, however if legal proceedings are started, you can choose your own advisor who must agree to Tesco Legal Guard's terms of business.

Cover applies if there is a greater than 50% chance of your claim being successful. In circumstances where compensation or damages is being sought, there must also be a greater than 50% chance of enforcing any judgement obtained.

Cover is not provided to pursue personal injury claims for clinical negligence or medical malpractice.

Please note that if you have any other legal protection cover, there may be an element of overlap with this cover.

Offer terms and conditions

• Available to new Tesco Home (combined buildings and contents) insurance customers who quote and buy a policy from Tesco Bank online only between 12/04/12 and 22/05/12.
• This offer is available to Tesco Clubcard customers only and Clubcard number must be added during quote. One offer per policy.
• Purchases via all price comparison websites (including Tesco Compare) are excluded for the promotion (including quotes originating from them).
• If the policy is cancelled within 14 days, customers will not receive the Goodmans Portable DVD player.

How to redeem your Goodmans PDV310 portable DVD player:

1. The policyholder will be sent a voucher within 6 weeks of purchase of a Tesco Home (combined buildings and contents) policy. In order to redeem your offer you will need to complete and return the voucher by 08/08/12. Within 14 days of receipt you will then be sent details by email on how to redeem and arrange delivery. You must do this online and you must redeem by 10/10/12.
2. Delivery of the DVD player will be to the policyholder's address only and will be free of charge.
3. Tesco Bank reserves the right to substitute the DVD player advertised with another of a similar specification or provide the customer with a cash equivalent amount.
4. A one year manufacturer warranty will be provided for the DVD player by Goodmans.
5. Tesco Bank accepts no liability for issues arising with the item post dispatch.
6. There is no cash alternative and the offer is non-transferable.
7. If the policy is cancelled within the first 6 months the DVD player will either not be dispatched or Tesco Bank can request the return of the DVD player.
