What is and isn't included

Health insurance covers the costs of eligible private medical treatment provided by
AXA PPP healthcare.

Tesco Health Insurance is designed to get you back on your feet as quickly as possible.

It covers the treatment of new 'acute' conditions - diseases, illnesses and injuries that respond quickly to treatment.

What is covered?

  • Tesco Health Insurance is designed to help you get back on your feet as soon as possible.
  • This means any new medical conditions you have after you join will be covered within the terms of your policy.

As with all insurance policies there are things that won't be covered. See the exclusions below for further information.

What isn't covered?

  • For the first two years of cover, medical conditions you've had in the last five years, and in some cases certain related conditions, will be excluded from cover.
  • If you're completely free of any form of treatment or advice for that condition for two consecutive years, it may be covered in the future. You'll receive more information about this when you join.
  • Treatment of chronic conditions - ongoing, recurrent or long term illnesses - are not covered. Find out more about chronic conditions.
