Defined as an advanced or rapidly progressing incurable illness where life expectancy will be no more than 12 months. This is a definition for the purposes of the plan and not a medical definition. You must be diagnosed at least 18 months before the policy term ends. This is not the same as Critical Illness.

Important policy information

  • Premium costs depend on amount and length of cover and your personal circumstances. Premiums are set for the term.
  • Terminal Illness Benefit – we pay the sum assured if you’re diagnosed with a terminal illness, a rapidly progressing incurable illness with a life expectancy of less than 12 months, before the last 18 months of the term.
  • Payment of Terminal Illness Benefit will also terminate the plan.
  • The value of your sum assured will be reduced by the effects of inflation.
  • If you cancel your policy at any time you will not get any money back.

  • Clubcard number must be provided during application.

  • If you cancel your policy within the first 6 months we reserve the right to request a refund of the £30 Tesco Gift Card already given to you.
  • The Tesco Gift Card will be posted (no duplicates will be sent) to the policyholder's address after three monthly payments have been made.
