What is PayQwiq?
PayQwiq is the fast, simple and secure way to pay in Tesco with your phone.
When you pay with the PayQwiq app, you’ll get your Clubcard points automatically, all with a simple scan of your Apple or Android smartphone.
The app also lets you keep track of your spending, and you can use it to pay at the checkout even when your phone is offline.
Can I use PayQwiq?
You can use PayQwiq to pay for your shopping and collect Clubcard points in every Tesco store in the UK.
How do I get PayQwiq?
PayQwiq is available on Apple and Android phones. You can download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Once you’ve got the app, just log in using your Tesco.com Groceries details and follow the simple steps to get up and running.
How do I use PayQwiq instore?
Which cards can I use?
You can use Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit, Maestro and American Express.
Is there a minimum or maximum spend?
There is no minimum spend when using PayQwiq, but there is a maximum spend of £250 per transaction. Please also note that, to keep you safe, any unusual transaction either in terms of amount or spending pattern may be declined by your bank or organisation that issued your card.
I don’t have a Tesco.com account
Don’t worry! You can create an account in the app, and within no time you’ll be collecting points automatically while you pay with your phone at the checkout.
Can I use my coupons and vouchers?
You can use all money off coupons and vouchers with PayQwiq. To use your Clubcard Extra Points or Double Points coupons, you'll need to swipe your plastic Clubcard, scan your coupons and then scan PayQwiq. The same applies for Tesco colleagues with a Privilegecard. You'll need to swipe your plastic Privilegecard and scan your coupons and vouchers before you scan PayQwiq.

It’s safe and secure
Shop securely and confidently
You don't have to worry about security with PayQwiq, because the app has a range of security features to keep you safe when shopping. To access the app you'll enter your four digit pin (or newer iPhone users can use touchID). Once you’re in, no sensitive data is displayed within the app. Your personal information is secured in our encrypted data centres, never on your phone.
No payments can be made using a blocked card. We also keep you safe by blocking any payments on your account that we suspect might be fraudulent.
