A little help with Online Banking
Our step-by-step online demos show you how to register and login to our new Online Banking service so you can manage your account online.

How to register for Online Banking (text version)
Select your product to begin
Select your product from the dropdown menu on the right hand side of the screen and select the Register button.
Help us identify you
We'll ask you to enter some of your account information and personal details so we can identify you. Credit Card customers will be asked for their credit card number. Savings and Loans customers will be asked for their sort code and account number.
Before you can register you'll need a Temporary Security Number which we'll send to your mobile or by post to your home.
Once you've received your Temporary Security Number, enter it onto the screen when requested. If you've received it by post, you'll have to select Register again from the homepage.
Now that we've identified you, you can begin registration.
Step 1 - Site Security. Setting up your personal login screen
Before you begin, read our Online Banking Terms and Conditions and select the check box if you're happy to continue. This opens in a PDF document.
You'll be asked to choose a Username that you'll use to login each time you want to access your account. If the Username you choose is already taken, we will suggest some alternatives that you might want to use.
You'll then be asked to choose an image and phrase you'll recognise. This will be displayed each time you login so you know you're on the real Tesco Bank site.
When logging in, if you don't recognise the image or phrase, call our Online Banking helpdesk straight away - you can find their details on the contact us page of our website.
Step 2 - Recognised Computer. Setting up your recognised computer
For security, we'll ask you if you would like us to recognise your computer the next time you login to Online Banking.
If you login from a computer we don't recognise, we'll send a text message with a code to enable you to login.
This protects your account by helping us make sure it's you logging in.
Make sure you review the mobile number we have for you and update it if you need to.

Step 3 - Personal Security. Choosing your Security Number, Password and Telephone Security Questions
We'll ask you to create a six digit Security Number for online and telephone banking.
And a password that's at least seven characters long and includes letters and numbers.
You'll use these details to login to Online Banking.
Finally on this page, choose and answer three Security Questions for telephone banking. We'll use these to verify your identity if you need to phone us.
This completes your registration and you'll be able to login and manage your accounts online.
Your Online Banking Overview
Once you've registered, your new Online Banking Overview page will be displayed, and you'll see a summary of your accounts with Tesco Bank.

Select your product to begin
Select your product from the dropdown menu and click the Login button.
We'll then ask you to enter the Username you've chosen.
Once you've entered it you'll see your personal login screen with your chosen image and phrase. You'll be asked to enter digits from your Security Number and your Password.
If you don't recognise the image and phrase, do not enter any information and call our helpdesk straightaway - you can find their details on the contact us page of our website.
Logging in from a computer we don't recognise
If you're not using a computer you have asked us to recognise, we'll need to send a code to your mobile phone to allow you to login. This protects your account by helping us make sure it's you logging in.
On your personal login screen enter the requested digits from your Security Number to continue.
Your Username and the mobile phone number we have for you will be displayed. When you select Send we'll text a One Time Access Code to your mobile phone.
If you don't have a mobile number stored or the number has changed, you'll need to call us to access your account. Enter the code into the One Time Access Code box on screen once you receive it.
You'll then be asked to complete your login by entering your password.
We'll ask you if you want us to recognise this computer so that you can login next time without using your mobile phone.
Your Online Banking Overview
Once you've logged in your Online Banking Overview page will be displayed.
Use the + or - buttons to access summary information about your account.
Use the Manage button if you'd like to do more.
Manage your security details
To update any of the security details you use to login to Online Banking, select Manage my Security details from the menu on the left.
You'll be shown a list of the security details you can change. You'll be able to use your new details the next time you login.
