Changes to Online Banking
We’ve made some changes to Online Banking by making it easier to use, giving it a fresh new look, and making some changes to our Online Banking security.
If you manage your account online, we’ll ask you to register and set up new security details so that you can start using the new service. You‘ll only need to do this once. Please note, only the primary cardholder can manage the credit card online. Additional cardholders can use their credit cards as normal and can manage their accounts by calling us on 0845 300 4601.
To start using the new Online Banking service, please follow the steps below:
- To begin, select Credit Cards from the dropdown menu at the top right of the screen, and then choose Register.
- On the next page, we’ll ask you to enter some information we can use to identify you, including your Credit Card number, name, date of birth and postcode.
- As an additional security measure to confirm your identity, we’ll send a Temporary Security Number by text message to your mobile phone, or by post if we don’t have your mobile phone number. If you’ve received the Temporary Security Number by text message, you’ll need to enter the code on screen to continue. If you’ve received it by post however, you’ll need to select ‘Register’ from the login page and enter the Temporary Security Number when requested.
- We’ll then ask you to create some security details that you’ll need to use each time you login to Online Banking. To find out more about creating your security details, you can view our registration demonstration.
Changes to the Tesco Bank Business Credit Card
We’re changing some of the features of the Tesco Bank Business Credit Card. Please find a summary of these changes below.
Fuel Rewards are being replaced with cashback
You’ll continue to collect Reward Points at the usual rate of 0.5% of your monthly spend. However, rather than accumulating these points as Fuel Rewards, they’ll now be converted into cashback and deducted from your account balance each month. So, for every £100 you spend, you’ll receive 50p cashback into your account.
The cash value of any current Fuel Reward points you have will be deducted from your balance on your first statement after 21st May 2012.
Credit limits for additional cards are being replaced with monthly spend limits
The credit limits on additional cards are being replaced with monthly spend limits. We will set a spend limit based on the additional card’s current limit, but you can change the monthly spend limit at any time (providing you do not exceed your current credit limit). Just call us on 0845 300 4601 to change the limit.
Any payments made into your account during the month will have no effect on the monthly spend limit. Say, for example, the spend limit on an additional card is set at £1,000 per month, and the additional cardholder spends £1,000 this month. Even if £1,000 is paid back into the account during the same month, this will not have the effect of ‘resetting’ the spend limit. Once the limit is reached, the cardholder will no longer be able to use their card until the following month.
